THE DESIGN PROCESS

A turnkey approach is maintained to ensure the smooth progress of each project from concept to completion during which time open communication is maintained with clients throughout the process.

Design Brief & Site Visit/Review of Architectural Drawings
A meeting is arranged to discuss the project towards a clear understanding of the client’s design requirements and personal style. This is followed by a site visit for a walk-through to evaluate the scope of work and to achieve a sense of space and lifestyle. If the property is a new-build structure, then a review of architectural drawings would be equally useful.

Furniture Layout & Design Concept
Following the initial meetings, preliminary furniture layouts and design concept are produced in the form of mood boards for presentation. Mood boards would show colour schemes and include samples of finishes, fabric and other materials to indicate surface, texture and/or pattern. 3D renderings can also be produced for a sharper preview of the proposed design concept.

Kitchen and bathroom fittings may also be presented depending on the scope of the project. Once the client’s feedback has been given, the layouts and design concept are then fine-tuned in preparation for a final presentation.

Specifications and/or Working Drawings
On approval of the furniture layouts and design concept, finishes (floor, wall and/or ceiling), furniture, lighting, artwork, rugs and/or accessories can be specified and quotations obtained from various suppliers to suit the client’s budget and timeframe.

Lighting and other layouts to show the positioning of ceiling fans, power & data outlets and any special floor, wall and/or ceiling finishes are produced. Kitchen and bathroom layouts would also be produced with all quotations obtained for review by the client.

Supervision and Inspection
A project management service is offered to coordinate and supervise the delivery and installation of all furnishings, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) to ensure the seamless execution and handover of the final product.

Design
“The designer's job is to imagine the world not how it is, but how it should be.”
